Fresh transfer from blog legend R.C.
Big thanks as always to him for his shares.
This is as far as I can tell probably the "DJ AUD Version" of this gig,
but better quality than the one available (audience) recording in circulation to my knowledge.
Sounds more focused/open & dynamic to me.
Would be interested to hear what others think, good or bad.
No remaster on this one.
Enjoy....

Remaster Notes:-

My thanks to the taper & seeder for the share.
This needed little restoration, just some clicks mainly being removed.
Have used some very gentle touches on this,
the top was a little flat so enhanced that mainly.
It was a nice recording & a pleasure to work on.
Used as much hiss reduction as was possible,
to use any more would have squashed the dynamics.
As the below notes say there aren't many shows from this time in this quality,
so a must for fans & a great reminder (if one was needed) of the band.

Enjoy...

This is a new version tape of the whole gig.
It is not the circulated version with 6 songs
and minus the ending of "These Things Take Time".
This comes from my blog friend R.C.
Would be interested with what others think of this new source.
I haven't seen this version anywhere before (but I could be mistaken).
So...
Any comments (good/bad) please come forward with them!

Remaster Notes:-

Did quite a lot of restoration to this lot.
Then did what I could to make it more of a listen.
Still doesn't sound that good, but an improvement on what it was.

Enjoy...

Remaster Notes:-

The farewell concert.
The taper did a great job with the recording, much apprection to him/her.
Also huge thanks to Felt Fan and Ju S. Ju for sharing.

This I got from Rob's blog, here is the link:
http://dbs-repercussion.blogspot.com/search/label/Felt
So many thanks to him for sharing & those mentioned above.

This took a lot of time to figure out.
Got it as near as I could to what I wanted.
Spent a lot of time on this, but think it was worth it.
Two issues remain:
1. The background chatter when the music is quiet.
Sounds like if somone has a radio on low in the next room & it comes through to your space.
2. It is lossy.
If anyone has a better version & would be willing to share please get in touch.
For now this is the best it can be.

A slice of history here for you to keep & treasure.
Amazing band, sadly over looked by many.
Was lucky enough to see them once at a small venue in London,
can't remember where exactly, taken by my music barometer, The Wild One.
Shut your eyes and listen to the songs, almost magical.

Enjoy...

what a joy not to have them on here.
If this is your thing then it will not disppoint, it is really, really good.
The only negative is that it is lossy.

Original Notes:-

No EQ, processing or adjustments in the transfer.
Despite some tape hiss and crowd banter, not a bad recording for an AIWA.
Great set (as always) from Dave, Harriet and the gang.

This is the second gig from the second leg of their North American Blind tour in 1993.
The Sacramento show was originally booked for the Crest Theatre but due to fire damage the venue was moved to The Grove -
basically the outdoor pool patio area of the Radisson Hotel, situated just outside downtown Sacramento.
This was also the Sundays' first ever outdoor gig (only outdoor gig ever I believe), which Harriet notes at the start of the show.
Madder Rose was the opening act.

Being an outdoor venue, I stood next to the entry gate next to a group of venue security guards,
curious hotel guests and a small group of Sundays fans (right behind the stage - couldn't see the band but heard them fine).
I recorded what I could without being too conspicuous but definitely not the ideal setting.

Thanks always to CynM.
Please enjoy and always support the artists.

Please post more Sundays recordings.
Or, send a PM (muchmusic) if you have any Sundays masters for trade (audio/video, any quality)....

Remaster Notes:-

Many thanks to the taper for his share & Luis for sending to me, both very much appreciated.
This needed a moderate amount of restoration.
Suffered from some tape hiss.
Reduced that as much as possible without crushing the dynamics along with it.
It lacked any bass so fixed it up best I could,
and brought out what was there a little better.
Sounds nice, still a little bass light, but much better than it was.
Dreaded talkers time!
There was quite a lot, especially during the first 2 songs.
I edited quite a bit to remove as many whoops as possible,
some remain but again a lot better.
The very last song is a bit to bright & treble too high,
must do better next time!
Overall a solid 6/10 for an audience recording.
Would have been great to be there in the open air,
I try to get you there in my music time machine.
Another great show for your Sundays collection (if you have been following the blog posts),
hope you like it.

Enjoy...

Remaster Notes:-

The original version of this is at http://theultimatebootlegexperience7.blogspot.com/search/label/Yazoo.
Many thanks to boot legend Edge for sharing this, other wise this wouldn't be here.

Did a bit of everything on this.
Some restoration removing various clicks & what I am guessing was FM static.
Applied some hiss reduction, still some hiss remains,
but as always there is a dynamic balance between having no hiss & flat sounding files,
or a little hiss and more dynamic sounding music.
Not really an issue, but in some places the limitations of the source tape push through.
Fade out after track 8 presumably for a tape flip, as far as I can hear minimal to no music lost.
Other than that all good.
Then pitch shifted it + 1.8 semitones as advised above, sounds much better, it needed doing badly.
Finally some gentle remastering touches, just to bring it out a little better.
Sounds great if you have the original you can delete it, this is the one to listen to.
This will not disappoint.

Enjoy...
