Lineage:-
AIWA HS-J470 + AIWA Clip Mic --> Cassette Master -->
Nakamichi Cassette Deck 1.5 (3 head) -->
Pioneer PDR-509 --> CDR --> Audacity (tracking only) -->
FLAC Frontend --> FLAC Files (level 8)
Original Notes:-
No EQ, processing or adjustments in the transfer.
Despite some tape hiss and crowd banter, not a bad recording for an AIWA.
Great set (as always) from Dave, Harriet and the gang.
This is the second gig from the second leg of their North American Blind tour in 1993.
The Sacramento show was originally booked for the Crest Theatre but due to fire damage the venue was moved to The Grove -
basically the outdoor pool patio area of the Radisson Hotel, situated just outside downtown Sacramento.
This was also the Sundays' first ever outdoor gig (only outdoor gig ever I believe), which Harriet notes at the start of the show.
Madder Rose was the opening act.
Being an outdoor venue, I stood next to the entry gate next to a group of venue security guards,
curious hotel guests and a small group of Sundays fans (right behind the stage - couldn't see the band but heard them fine).
I recorded what I could without being too conspicuous but definitely not the ideal setting.
Thanks always to CynM.
Please enjoy and always support the artists.
Please post more Sundays recordings.
Or, send a PM (muchmusic) if you have any Sundays masters for trade (audio/video, any quality)....

Remaster Notes:-
Many thanks to the taper for his share & Luis for sending to me, both very much appreciated.
This needed a moderate amount of restoration.
Suffered from some tape hiss.
Reduced that as much as possible without crushing the dynamics along with it.
It lacked any bass so fixed it up best I could,
and brought out what was there a little better.
Sounds nice, still a little bass light, but much better than it was.
Dreaded talkers time!
There was quite a lot, especially during the first 2 songs.
I edited quite a bit to remove as many whoops as possible,
some remain but again a lot better.
The very last song is a bit to bright & treble too high,
must do better next time!
Overall a solid 6/10 for an audience recording.
Would have been great to be there in the open air,
I try to get you there in my music time machine.
Another great show for your Sundays collection (if you have been following the blog posts),
hope you like it.
Enjoy...
